Mobile Rotten Tomatoes

I’m a huge fan of the site  It looks at tons of movie reviews, decides if each review is positive or negative, and then shows a score for each movie from 1 to 100.  My favorite movies, Pulp Fiction and The Professional, score 96% and 73% respectively.

The problem is, I couldn’t find a mobile (iPhone) optimized version of the site.  Which is kind of frustrating when you’re away from a computer and trying to decide what movie to see.

So I built  It’s a slimmed-down version of RottenTomatoes that looks great on iPhone (and probably other mobile devices).  I hope the RottenTomatoes people are okay with this. I built it using their RSS feeds.  They can have the site for free if they want — I’m not trying to take away any business from them.

Hope you find it useful!

This is great and all, but with the impending global collapse of the economy, would you bring back FuckedCompany?

Even if you installed slashcode or some “web comment aggregator in a box” it would be better than nothing.

Is there some sort of conflict within FC that prevents this from being done?

Also, your BBS Documentary interview is still enjoyable to watch.

    Cool. Looks pretty useful.

Any chance of adding search by film title? If it was at, all the better.

Sorry if search is there & I’m too dopey to spot it.

Very cool! Thanks for doing this. Do the RT RSS feeds include new video releases too? It would be great to have that as a dropdown option…

this is great! thank you for making this.

now my friends don’t have to wait 20 minutes for me to answer the question “is movie X any good?” when we’re at the theater picking a movie to watch (probably cuz the one we wanted to see is sold out).

The iPhone app “Now Playing” displays Rotten Tomato ranking. It’s super useful and well designed.

    great application, thank you!

a problem on a blackberry is that changing values in drop-down menus does not ‘force’ a refresh, and a manual refresh restores original menu selection.

any chance you could add a ‘go’ button to force a refresh after selecting from drop-down boxes?
