School sucks

Pud,

School sucks. How do I make it not suck?

Nate,

You’re lucky on two counts.

  1. Be content in knowing that the guys who are having a blast in high school, fucking cheerleaders and such, are ruined. As they grow up, they’ll realize their best days are behind them. And when you’re out in the real world making things happen, they’ll be longing for “the good ‘ol days.”
  2. High school doesn’t matter, except for getting into college. And college doesn’t matter either, except that sex is easier to come by there.

Rock on,
Pud

That is possibly the most blunt and honest description of high school and college I’ve ever heard.

And I can find solace in your words.

college does matter a little bit, especially if it is a college with a good career center – makes finding a job after college much easier.

it seemed to me at that time (almost ten years ago) employers didn’t care about GPA, so as long as you do well in the interview, you should be fine.

Ah… Institutionalism… Don’t let it turn you into a robot!

High school is an awesome time to pursue and develop interests… It can be anything from weightlifting, learning an instrument, painting, making stupid youtube videos, etc.

Find out who you are, bring that into to school with you and you’ll attract like minded people. Things will go much faster, trust me.

It’s the one time of your life where you have a lot of free time and very little responsibility. Try to enjoy it!

    Good luck!

Absolutely spot on, and it continues into graduate/professional school, although by then you find you start having less time for sex (i.e. welcome to adulthood).

    Take history

    Learn what a ‘Hooverville’ was

Learn building skills and basic agriculture and prepare to sell your teeth and hair

    Wishing you a happy serfdom

Pud – High school and college could not have been explained more to point and with fewer words than you just threw down.
